As the proverb goes, “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks”. Think again! Nina Camplin has a couple of tricks up her sleeves.
One of them includes transforming old vintage crochet doilies and other stuff that people throw away, into fantastic fashionable garments and accessories.
Her favourite garment that she makes is her crochet dresses “because they are made from vintage doilies, and every inch of it is a thing of beauty. They also look and feel great to wear”.
The other great Skill of Nina’s is how she turns her love of wildlife into beautiful landscape paintings while at the same time, again, reusing old materials including the canvas.
Nina tells me that she loves to get her hands messy as she experiments with all sorts of different mediums.
Nina’s favourite saying is “Never be Ordinary.“
Here are some of Nina’s creations from her Etsy shop “Old Dogs with New Tricks”.
