Affiliate Selling.

Affiliate Selling.

On almost every page and post throughout this website, you will find an affiliate disclosure announcement.

The reason for the disclosure is to inform our blog readers, and affiliate shop visitors that the page they are reading contains one or more links to a partner’s website and that we may earn a commission from our partner if a purchase should be made as a result of following the link.

Apart from just being transparent and polite, it is also a legal requirement in most countries where this site is viewed.

What is Affiliate Selling?

Affiliate selling is not a new concept; it has been around long before the information technology revolution.

Affiliate selling is done on behalf of someone else, the affiliate partner.

After a successful transaction has been influenced, then, the affiliate seller receives there reward. Usually, after a while (45 days on average). This is to allow for order cancellations, returns, and refunds. This is only fair, as the affiliate seller may have influenced a buyers decision to purchase.

Who are Mojo’s Collections affiliate partners?

We have several affiliate partners whos products we showcase most often.

As our slogan states “Weird & quirky products around the internet”, our leading most popular partner websites are, in our opinion, the top three marketplace sites: Etsy, Amazon and eBay. In that order.

These are the sites where we find our Weird and quirky.

Several other partners share advertising space with us only.

Use of affiliate partners content.

By contract, an affiliate seller may use website content provided by their affiliate partners. For instance, Amazon provides special links that include product titles, description and images as do eBay. Etsy provides a product feed with all the content, including images for their affiliate partners to use.

Sellers and businesses using these platforms have consented to such use of submitted content on signing up for the service.

As an example of this see section 5c of Etsy’s Terms of use/your content/rights you grant Etsy.

Here it states that:

“By posting Your Content, you grant Etsy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable, sub-licensable, perpetual license to use, display, edit, modify, reproduce, distribute, store, and prepare derivative works of Your Content.”

And…

This allows us to provide the Services and to promote Etsy, your Etsy shop, or the Services in general, in any formats and through any channels, including across any Etsy Services, our partners, or third-party website or advertising medium. You agree not to assert any moral rights or rights of publicity against us for using Your Content. You also recognise our legitimate interest in using it, in accordance with the scope of this license, to the extent Your Content contains any personal information.
